After a stint of eight years with the company, Rajesh Aggarwal, President, Dentsu India, has decided to move on. Aggarwal confirmed the development to exchange4media but did not offer any further details on destination next or reasons for the move.
The development follows other high-profiled exits from the company including Ruchira Raina (MD, Dentsu Communications), Gullu Sen (Executive Vice Chairman & Chief Creative Officer) and Nitin Suri (NCD, Dentsu Marcom).
Aggarwal is amongst the founder members of the company and has played a key role in bringing the company to the stature it is at present.
It may be recalled that earlier this year, Dentsu had taken 100 per cent control of the Indian operations after acquiring 26 per cent equity from Mogae Consultants.
As President, Aggarwal has headed all Dentsu operations in India. A mass communications graduate from IIMC, Delhi, Aggarwal started his career at Edge Communications 25 years ago. He spent more than 10 years at Rediffusion Y&R, over two stints. Aggarwal was marketing head at Panasonic India for two years. He was one of the key team members that helped launch Airtel in 1995.
As one of the founders of Dentsu in India, Aggarwal has been instrumental in launching a number of new initiatives at the agency, including diversification into digital domains.
