Lowe’s Executive Vice-President Sandip Chaudhuri quits

Lowe’s Executive Vice-President Sandip Chaudhuri, who was in-charge of both the Kolkata and Chennai offices of the agency, has quit. Confirming this development Pranesh Mishra, COO, Lowe, said, “Sandip was a part of our core senior management team, and will be missed by all of us.”

Chaudhuri joined Lowe in1996 initially as head of the Kolkata operations and subsequently was also overseeing the Chennai office. His nine-year tenure had seen a lot of ups and downs, particularly in the fortunes of Lowe Kolkata, including the marginalisation of its ITC cigarettes business in the wake of the tobacco ad ban.

Chaudhuri, who had spent 20 years in advertising with agencies like Clarion, McCann and Lintas /Lowe, was not forthcoming on his plans except to say, “I am keen to explore opportunities in areas outside advertising.”
