G4S India on Wednesday announced the elevation of Rajeev Sharma as Country Managing Director. In his new role, Sharma will report directly to Claude Allain, President, G4S Middle East and Asia.

Sharma has had a long and successful journey with G4S. Prior to his new role, he was Managing Director of G4S India’s Secure Solutions business. He demonstrated commendable professionalism and contributed significantly to the growth of the Secure Solutions portfolio in India. In the past, he has also headed the cargo division for Kingfisher Airlines in India, and accumulated worthy experience in the logistics space. Previously, Sharma had undertaken a two-year stint in the UK, where he was successful at integrating acquired assets for G4S. Here he demonstrated his acumen by acquiring a manned guarding company for the firm.

Commenting on the appointment, Claude Allain, President, G4S Middle East and India, said, “I would like to invite all members of G4S to join me in congratulating Rajeev for his new role and in ensuring that he gets all the support he needs to take G4S to even greater heights.
