Nivea lets people Kiss and Make up with new campaign

Nivea has partnered with MEC to launch a campaign for its lip balm collection, titled ‘Kiss and Make up’. The campaign is aimed at the youth. The team at MEC, along with TV channel Bindaas created Kiss and Make Up video stories of 30 seconds each to showcase the lives of friends and siblings who actually kissed and made up.

Sharing his views on the campaign, T Gangadhar, MD, MEC India said, “MEC is delighted to partner with such a prominent brand. We create solutions around the business needs of our customers and hence, we crafted a customised and innovative campaign around the 'Kiss and Make up' insight with Nivea. The team thought it was important to bring out the essence that ‘life is too short to resent people we love’. We are glad that the campaign is appreciated by the audience and we wish for a continued and fruitful experience with Nivea.”

MEC has reached out to Nivea’s audience by using appropriate platforms to convey the message, ‘When you fight with someone you love, just kiss and make up. It’s not such a big deal’. As per the Kiss and Make up website, 15,796 people have already kissed and made up till date.

The campaign involves users choosing a Kiss and Make up personality, share their stories using the diary, and making a video to show their loved ones how sorry they are. Every participant gets a free Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Care, while two lucky winners get iPads every week. The campaign is open till August 31, 2013.
