Zone Reality to present some startling ‘reality bytes’ throughout July

Zone Reality, the 24-hour entertainment channel that showcases programmes on real people with true stories, has lined up some gripping shows for July. The line-up for the month includes shows like ‘Shark Gordon’s Most Dangerous Moments’ and special events series.

Zone Reality has been presenting an eclectic mix of real life programmes that portray myriad experiences, feats and idiosyncrasies, with each programme capturing events as they actually happen.

Announcing the new shows, Flecka Picardo, Marketing Manager, Zone Reality-Asia, said, “It has been Zone Reality’s conscious attempt to provide meaningful, real life entertainment filled programmes to our Indian viewers. We are confident that these new programmes will further strengthen the position of the channel in India and will be appreciated by our viewers.”

‘Shark Gordon’s Most Dangerous Moments’ is a compilation of closest calls with the world’s most feared animals, captured on film for the 13-part series. The programme promises an extensive new footage of sharks in their natural habitat. Ian, the star of the popular series, has been studying sharks for nearly 20 years.

This apart Zone Reality will also air six special event days in July. Each day is scheduled to include some of the best programming. Some of the interesting titles include ‘The Wall Crawler’, ‘Exchanging Vows’, ‘Redneck Games’, ‘Video Viglantes’, ‘Cheaters’, and ‘Matchmaker’.

‘Wall Crawler’ is an adventure thriller, which showcases the live stunts and impromptu grit of Frenchman Alain Robert. With 20 years of climbing experience in natural landscapes, often without any equipment, Robert is currently inspired by top-level alpinism and skyscrapers and has had success with some of the tallest towers of the world’s most densely populated cities.

Every July, the sleepy town of East Dublin, in Georgia, USA is home to ‘The Redneck Games’, which is a celebration of the southern country life and a chance for local people to get together to salute the working man. The programme captures all the mayhem and gaiety of the games.

‘Video Vigilantes’ showcases curtain twitching into the 21st Century. The camcorder revolution has taken Neighbourhood Watch to new extreme levels. From shopping kerb crawlers and drug dealers to nabbing knicker thieves and randy rozzers, video vigilantism is here to stay.

‘Cheaters’, a popular part of the Zone Reality schedule, continues with new episodes in July, with presenter Joy Greco uncovering yet more infidelity leading to some catfights and angry confrontations.

‘Matchmaker’ is all about friends hooking up friends on dates. It starts by tracking down that special someone, facilitating a pre-date makeover or even sending them to a dominatrix if the matchmaker thinks their friend needs to be more assertive.

Zone Reality has a viewership of over 15 million Indian households across the country. The channel is distributed by Zee Turner and is also available on the DTH platform, Dish TV.
