Zee TV is number one Hindi GE channel this week

The narrow gap amongst the top channels is demonstrated once again, where on the back of a couple of its properties, Zee TV has overtaken Star Plus to be the number one channel this week.

Zee TV has secured 283 GRPs in the latest week of data from TAM Media Research, while Star Plus is on the number two position with 255 GRPs. Colors follows at 238 GRPs and Sony Entertainment Television is at 214 GRPs.

In the next tier, Life OK has taken over Sab by a small margin – Life OK is at 135 while Sab is at 133.

Zee TV’s numbers have come on the back of its format show DID L’il Masters that has delivered a rating of 8 plus. The show had delivered a rating of 7.5 TVR last week for the episode that featured guests Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.

This week, the channel has also seen some of its other properties such as Gold Awards deliver numbers for the channel, taking its overall weekly ratings higher.

TAM data is shared with exchange4media by TAM subscribers.
