Zee Studio and Zee Cafe line up interesting fare for August

After celebrating Friendship Day with marathon runs of their shows ‘Will & Grace’, ‘Love Monkey’, ‘Friends’ and ‘Full on Special’, Zee’s English entertainment channel Zee Café has lined up some more popular fare for August.

The 2.30 pm slot on Saturday on Zee Café will have ‘The Gig’ featuring performances of popular bands like Cold Play, James Blunt: The Bedlam Sessions, Santana: Supernatural, and Queen and Paul Rodgers.

The channel will also air the fourth season of the show, ‘America's Next Top Model’ replacing ‘The Cut’ from August 11 in the 9 pm slot.

Zee Studio, Zee’s English movie channel, has some new films lined up for August. The channel has demarcated separated genres of movies for different days of the week. Thursday will see action / comedy / drama movies; Tuesdays are reserved for suspense / thrillers, Saturday will showcase biographies, and then there is ‘I love Sundays’ with will feature drama. The Celestial Shaolin Nites slot will remain unchanged. E Extreme Close Up show will, however, be off air from mid-August as the license for the programme expires.

‘Thirteen Conversations’, ‘An Awfully Big Adventure’, ‘Mrs Dalloway’ and ‘Relative Values’ and ‘Luther’ are some of the movies slated for premiere on Zee Studio this month.
