ZEE strengthens its leadership team in South

Zee Tamizh, the Tamil channel from Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEE), has promoted NS Easwaran as Deputy Business Head. Prior to this, Easwaran was handling Advertising Sales for the West zone in ZEE.

Easwaran, who took charge of his new role from April 1, 2013, is reporting to Prem Menon, Business Head, ZEE Tamizh.

Commenting on the development, Menon said, “We have created this position basically to strengthen Zee Tamizh. Easwaran will be supporting me and working along with me.”

On his new role, Easwaran said, “It is completely different from my earlier roles; I will be assisting Prem Menon, the Business Head. Our plans are already in place and I will be going with the flow for now.”

Easwaran started his career in sales in 1998. He first worked with New Age Entertainment in 2000, where he was the sales concessioner for Sun Network programmes. He worked there for six years. Easwaran then had a short stint with Pearl Media for a year. He joined Zee Telugu and Kannada as West Head- Sales in October 2007.

For the record, Zee Entertainment Enterprises has well known brands that include Zee TV, Zee Cinema, Zee Premier, Zee Action, Zee Classic, Zee Smile, 9X, Ten Sports, Ten Cricket, Ten Action+, Zee Cafe, Zee Studio, Zee Trendz, Zee Jagran, Zee Salaam, Zing, ETC Music and Zee Khana Khazana. The company also has a strong offering in the regional language domain with channels such as Zee Marathi, Zee Talkies, Zee Bangla, Zee Telugu, Zee Kannada and Zee Tamizh.
