Zee Sports is premiering a new cricket-based show ‘K4Kricket’ from August 18. The channel claims the show woukd be different from the other live cricket programming available on Indian television. The objective of ‘K4Kricket’ is to give a new spin and mix to cricket programming in India.
Gaurav Bahal, Head of Production, Zee Sports, said, “It’s an honest effort to programme cricket in a way it is seen and played India – as people’s sport. If people’s passion makes cricket the heart and soul of India, then any programming on Indian cricket should reflect that passion in their own lingo.”
He further said, “The viewers already know almost everything there is to know about cricket. So, it is time to relearn the game their way. It’s a desi prototype that we want to bring to the masses. The colloquial style of our presentation along with some other chatty and interactive elements of our programming should make the otherwise arduous, run-of-the-mill discussions a warm-up or melt-down session of fun.”
‘K4Kricket’ would air the preview, review and analysis of cricket action through crisp and colloquial Hindi words and phrases to establish a greater connect with the everyday cricket viewer.
The show would be aired during the ongoing India-Sri Lanka series twice a day at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm in Hindi, and would be anchored by Kavita Kaushik.
