In week 13 (March 22 – 28, 2015) of the Hindi GEC ratings universe saw Star Plus and Life OK saw a large decline, while Colors saw a marginal decline. Zee TV, Sab TV and Sony TV saw a rise in their ratings this week.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers, Star Plus in week 13 saw its ratings fall to 597 million GVTs from 624 million GVTs in week 12. A majority of the shows on the channel saw a marginal dip in their ratings. This included Veera, Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Du, Suhani Si Ek Ladki, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Tu Mera Hero and Tere Shehar Mein which declined to 2.3, 2.1, 4.9, 9.1, 8.1, 6.1 and 3.2 TVTs in week 13 from 2.6, 2.3, 5.2, 9.7, 8.9, 6.4 and 3.3 TVTs in week 12 respectively. Only three shows saw a marginal increase during the week, which were Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, Diya Aur Baati Hum and Masterchef India which rose to 4.2, 8.4 and 4.1 TVTs from 4.1, 8.2 and 3.8 TVTs in week 12 respectively.
Colors on the other hand saw a minor decline as it fell to 451 million GVTs from 457 million GVTs in week 12. Most of the shows saw a small decline, while others stayed the same. One of the top shows on the channel Comedy Nights with Kapil saw a large decline this week as it fell to 5.1 TVTs from 7.0 TVTs last week. Other shows on the decline include Shastri Sisters, Sasural Simar Ka, Balika Vadhu, Udaan, Ashoka Samrat and Swaragini which fell to 2.1, 7.5, 5.6, 5.6, 5.5 and 4.9 TVTs this week from 2.3, 8.3, 5.7, 6.3, 5.8 and 5.0 TVTs in week 12 respectively. Meri Ashiqui and Farah Ki Daawat both saw marginal increase in week 13 to 5.5 and 2.4 TVTs from 5.2 and 2.2 TVTs in week 12 respectively. Uttaran and Khatron Ke Khiladi both saw their ratings stay the same as last week at 2.5 and 4.5 TVTs respectively.
Zee TV had seen its ratings increase this week to 411 million GVTs in week 13 from 394 million GVTs in week 12. The reason for the rise could be attributed to a large spike in ratings from DID Super Moms on its launch in the week. It brought in ratings of 9.4 TVTs during its first week on-air. Most of the other shows either saw a marginal increase or decline during the week. On the incline were Service Wali Bahu and Bandhan which rose to 1.1 and 1.7 TVTs in week 13 from 1.0 and 1.5 TVTs in week 12 respectively. Other shows such as Jodha Akbar, Jamai Raja, Kumkum Bhagya, Qubool Hai, Satrangi Sasural, Doli Armano Ki, Neeli Chhatri Wali and Maharakshak Devi declined to 5.2, 6.2, 9.5, 5.1, 4.7, 4.0, 3.6 and 1.2 TVTs in week 13 from 5.3, 6.7, 10.2, 5.2, 5.0, 4.3, 3.7 and 1.4 TVTs in week 12 respectively.
Life OK saw its ratings decline to 288 million GVTs in week 13 from 302 million GVTs in week 12. Mere Rang Mein Rangne Wali and Shapath were the only shows to rise during the week to 1.0 and 2.2 TVTs from 0.8 and 1.8 TVTs in week 12 respectively. Shows such as Mahakumbh, Dreamgirl and Savdhan India saw their ratings stay the same as last week at 1.5, 1.1 and 2.6 TVTs respectively. Newly launched show Kalash brought in ratings of 1.3 TVTs in its first week of being launched. On the decline were Laut Aao Trisha and Comedy Classes which declined to 0.5 and 2.6 TVTs in week 13 from 0.6 and 2.7 TVTs in week 12 respectively.
Sab TV saw its ratings rise to 281 million GVTs in week 13 from 275 million GVTs in week 12. Many of the shows saw their ratings stay the same or increase marginally. Shows like Badi Door Se Aaye Hai, Yum Hai Hum and Peterson Hill stayed the same last week at 2.1, 1.7 and 0.9 TVTs respectively. Other shows such as Balveer, Chidiya Ghar, Betaal Aur Sinhasan Battisi and The Great Indian Family Drama declined to 2.0, 2.5, 0.7 and 0.3 TVTs in week 13 from 2.4, 2.6, 0.9 and 0.4 TVTs in week 12 respectively. Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chasma was the only one to rise during the week to 6.2 TVTs from 5.7 TVTs last week.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET) saw its ratings increase this week to 221 million GVTs from 200 million GVTs last week. A majority of shows saw an increase in their ratings during the week. Newly launched show Dil Ke Baatein Dil Hi Jaane brought in ratings of 1.5 TVTs during its first week. Shows on the rise included Maharana Pratap, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, CID, Adaalat, Crime Patrol and Aahat which increased to 2.1, 2.0, 3.4, 1.9, 2.9 and 1.8 TVTs in week 13 from 2.0, 1.4, 3.3, 1.6, 2.3 and 1.7 TVTs in week 12 respectively. Shows such as Tum Aise Hi Rehna and Muh Boli Shaadi stayed the same as last week at 0.5 and 0.4 TVTs respectively.
