White Leaf Entertainment, Maverick Productions join hands for The Gold Awards

White Leaf Entertainment and Maverick Productions Pvt Ltd have come together for The Gold Awards, touted as the first ever global television awards. The awards will be in recognition of outstanding achievements in popular as well as technical branches and crafts.

Elaborating on this venture, White Leaf Entertainment’s Vikaas Kalantri and Pooja Ghai said, “We are very excited about this new venture as for the first time television awards would be taken to a global level. These awards are an opportunity to carry out the activity on a national as well as international level and we are very much looking forward to the Awards in September.”

Maverick Productions’ Anuj Saxena said, “I am glad to be part of this event along with Vikas and Pooja. It's time the television industry gets the international recognition it deserves. We are sure Gold Awards will be a success not only now but even in years to come.”

The Gold Awards will be held on September 8, 2007 in Mauritius. The Gold Awards boasts of a jury including Ravi Chopra (producer/director), Mithun Chakraborty (actor), Rati Agnihotri (actress), Subhash Awate (Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai), and Gita Hari (journalist and Editor of Gold magazine).

These awards are for the industry and by the industry. The voting would be carried through the medium of mobile vans which would run across the city, therefore, ensuring even the technical crew to vote, right from spot boys to actors, directors, writers and producers.
