Week 49 ratings: Zee TV overtakes Colors as No 2

The viewership figures of the Hindi general entertainment channels continue to witness turbulence, as post digitisation the audience fragmentation has gone up across different genres. Zee TV, which has reported consistent growth over the last few weeks, overtook Colors in Week 49 of 2013. Star Plus, Zee TV and Sony to a certain extent saw an increase in viewership this week, while others lost as compared to Week 48.

As per the TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 49 (December 1-December 8), Star Plus remains at the number one position with 561 million TVTs as compared to last week’s 548 million TVTs. The figure is close to that in Week 47.

Zee TV displaced Colors from the second position with a gross TVT of 480 million, as compared 449 million in Week 48.

Colors slipped to the third position, seeing a decline in viewership at 456 million TVTs. The channel had garnered 479 million TVTs last week.

Life OK was at No 4 with 325 million TVTs, as compared to 334 million TVTs in Week 48.

Sab TV occupied the fifth position with 261 million TVTs as compared to 269 million TVTs last week.
