Week 48 ratings: Zee TV beats decline trends as major GECs register fall

As per TAM Media data for Week 48 of 2013 (November 24-30, 2013), all major general entertainment channels, barring Zee TV, saw a decline in gross viewership.

Star Plus further, which had added 31 million TVTs to reach a gross viewership of 560 million TVTs in Week 47, saw a fall in viewership this week at 548 million TVTs.

It was decline for Colors, too, which garnered 479 million TVTs in Week 48, a decline from previous week’s 513 million TVTs.

Zee TV is the sole GEC among the major channels to have seen growth in viewership in Week 48 at 449 million TVTs. The channel had garnered 433 million TVTs in the previous week.

Placed fourth is Life OK, which witnessed gross TVTs of 334 million in Week 48, marginally lower than 335 million TVTs in the previous week.

Sab TV, which had registered a decline in its viewership in Week 47 to 308 million TVTs, saw a further slide in viewership at 269 million TVTs in week 48.

The slide in viewership continues for Sony TV, too, as the channel garnered gross TVTs of 239 million, as against 269 million TVTs in Week 47. Sony TV had witnessed a decline in viewership in the previous week as well.
