Week 42 ratings: Zee moves up to No. 2; Sony slips to No. 6 again

Week 42 of 2013 was a week of displacements for mainline general entertainment channels. According to the TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 42 (October 13-19) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus gained viewership and recorded 517 million TVTs with a relative share of 23.09 per cent (last week: 465 million TVTs with 20.86 per cent relative share).

Zee TV displaced Colors from the second spot, garnering 409 million TVTs with 18.28 per cent relative share. The channel had recorded 407 million TVTs with relative share of 18.26 per cent in Week 41.

Colors slid one spot to third position with 384 million TVTs and a relative share of 17.17 per cent (last week: 407 million TVTs with 18.26 per cent relative share).

SAB TV overtook Life OK to be placed fourth in Week 42 with 319 million TVTs and 14.26 per cent relative share. (292 million TVTs and 13.1 per cent relative share in Week 41).

Life OK occupied the fifth position with 317 million TVTs as against last week’s 345 million TVTs. The channel’s relative share reduced to 14.15 per cent in Week 42 as compared to 15.48 per cent in the previous week.

Sony moved down to No. 6 position yet again as the channel secured 292 million TVTs and relative share of 13.05 per cent (last week: 313 million TVTs with 14.04 per cent relative share).
