Coverage of Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s Swearing-In ceremony on Wednesday doubled the viewership of the Malyalam News. The impressions rose to 24,445 impressions ‘000s in week 21. The previous 4 week average of the genre was 11,360 impressions ‘000s.
The telecast of Special Show ‘Vishesh Samvad’ the whole week took the viewership of DD News up by 1.7 times. The previous four weeks average impressions which were 122 impressions ‘000s rose to 210 impressions ‘000s in week 21.
The coverage of Assam CM’s Swearing-In Ceremony on Tueasday took the viewership of the Assam News up by 1.6 times. The impressions catapulted to 7,822 impressions ‘000s in week 21 where the previous four weeks average was 4,778 impressions ‘000s.
Bangla News went up by 1.4 times by airing Coverage of West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee’s Swearing-In Ceremony on Friday all day. The channel witnessed a hike from 10,931 impressions ‘000s (prev. Four weeks average) to 15,356 impressions ‘000s in week 21.
Special show on Drought in Maharashtra on Monday took the 20:00 - 20:30slot up by 1.3 times. The previous four weeks average impressions which were recored to be 247 impressions ‘000s rose to 318 impressions ‘000s in week 21.
The coverage of Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha’s Swearing-In Ceremony took viewership up of Tamil News genre up by 1.2 times. The impressions rose to 34,667 impressions ‘000s in week 21 where the previous eight weeks average were 28,760 impressions ‘000s.
The telecast of News 24 Conclave 2016 on ‘2 years with Modi Government’ all day on Saturday and Sunday took the viewership of News 24 up by 7 per cent with rise impressions to 6,379 impressions ‘000s which were 5,982 impressions ‘000s (prev. four weeks average).
As far as the entertainment channels are concerned, in HSM Urban -Star Plus stayed at No. 1 followed by Colors at No.2 and Zee TV at No.3, like the previous week.
But in HSM-Rural, a change in the top order was seen as Utsav took over the top spot largely driven by Coverage and ATS. The channel pushed previous week’s top channel Sony Pal to No.2. Zee Anmol, however, remained at No.3.
