Vijay TV to usher in 2007 with James Bond

Following the success of theBond series on STAR Movies, Vijay TV is gearing up for a mega Bond series in Tamil. The channel has lined up an array of Bond movies to usher in New Year beginning with ‘Goldfinger’ on January 1, 2007, followed by ‘Diamonds Are Forever’, ‘Octopussy’, ‘The Living Daylights’ and ‘Die Another Day’ in January 2007.

The channel has also lined up a host of shows to keep viewers glued to their TV sets this New Year’s Eve. The celebrations on Vijay TV would start at 9 pm on December 31 with ‘Film Diary’, which will be aired from 9 pm to 10 pm and take a look at the hits and misses of Kollywood in 2006.

This will be followed by an hour-long special interview with actor Vikram. Flash Back 2006, which would be aired at 11 pm would showcase some of the best shows on Vijay TV in 2006.

The channel would also air a debate on ‘Life portrayed in films - Is it reel or real?’ Popular orator Dindigul Leoni, who is well-known for his quick wit and one-liners, would moderate the show. In the special edition of ‘Alive Koffee with Anu’, host Anu Hassan would grill music director Yuvan Shankar Raja and actor Vishal.

The channel would also telecast a special edition of ‘Kalaka Povathu Champions II’ on the occasion. Popular TV artists Uma Riyaz, Chinnie Jeyanth and Madan Bob would be hosting the show. This apart, there would also be a musical tryst with S P Balasubramaniam and Chitra.
