Vijay TV to launch Season 3 of celebrity dance show ‘Jodi No. 1’ from today

Following the success of Seasons 1 and 2 of ‘Jodi No. 1’, a popular reality show for small screen artists, Vijay TV is back with Season 3 of the show. The third season is on air from July 18, 2008 at 8 pm and would be aired Friday to Saturday.

Vijay TV has roped in eight small screen artists this time and viewers will get to see their favourite TV stars performing to some fast moving dance numbers. New and innovative themes like freestyle, western, black & white, club round, romance / candlelight and kings style would be introduced in Season 3 of the show. The finals would be shot in Kerala, according to an official communiqué issued by Vijay TV.

Like the earlier two seasons, ‘Garnier Fructis Jodi No.1 Season 3’ will also have viewers’ active participation and is set to woo audiences across Tamil Nadu and beyond with a star-studded line-up of eight celebrity couples vying for the title of best dancers. The new sets of celebrity couples are Rajesh & Suhasini; Sarath Chandran & Preethi; Mahendran & Hemalatha; Sanjay & Pooja; Nethran & Aruna Devi; Venkat & Nisha; Tinku & Santhoshi; and Ravindran & Pooja.

“The success of two seasons has encouraged us to launch the new season of ‘Jodi No. 1’. We believe that this season will prove to be a superhit among the audiences, taking Vijay a notch above the rest,” asserted K.Sriram, Channel Head, Vijay TV.
