Vijay TV launches VJ, RJ hunt in association with Big FM

Vijay TV, in association with Big FM, has recently launched a VJ and RJ hunt for Vijay TV and BIG 92.7 FM respectively. After preliminary auditions held at Marrybrown outlets across Chennai on April 28 & 29, 2007, which were attended by hundreds of eager and enthusiastic performers, the show went on air on May 19, 2007 with 48 contestants. The show is aired at 7.30 PM every Saturday and Sunday.

The celebrity judges for this show include Vasanthan, a legendary TV host, and Mamathy Chary, the face of Vijay TV and a popular RJ with Big FM. The show will have a slew of rounds with a competitive edge that will test the skills of the each of the contestants on voice modulation, creativity, diction, attitude, fashion statement, entertainment quotient, sense of humour, spontaneity, etc.

Apart from the celebrity judges, the show also boasts of popular VJs and RJs who come to the show to share basic attributes required to become a good RJ/VJ. Two of the four selected winners would be chosen as VJs for Vijay TV while the other two would become RJs for BIG FM.
