Vijay TV cashes in on quiz craze, gears up for ‘Unga Veetu Grand Master Yaaru’

Buoyed by the success of ‘Q3 Jeyyam Grand Master’, an interactive reverse quiz show in which the host finds out who is in the mind of the contestant, Vijay TV is gearing up to launch ‘Unga Veetu Grand Master Yaaru?’ (Who is the Grand Master in your house), which is a special segment of the Grand Master programme.

This programme provides an opportunity for viewers to become grandmasters sitting at home. In this show, the participant gives clues in the form of 21 questions regarding a prominent person in his mind from anywhere in the world, dead or alive, while the Grand Master has to guess the name of the person. Viewers too can send in their answers via SMS by typing GM (answer) to 7827 and win a personal computer every week.

Whoever is able to answer the quickest and gives the maximum number of correct answers wins the prize every week. The audience can make any number of attempts within the specified time. Every episode will have one round of the game.

The show commences from September 4, 2006 and will be aired from Monday to Thursday between 9.30 pm and 10 pm.

Host of the show G S Pradeep is known for his intellectual and analytical skills. He also has in-depth knowledge in history and contemporary world affairs. He has been in the limelight through the ‘reverse quiz’ show on television and has also been featured in the Limca Book of Records. Pradeep has also written five books and is a great orator.
