Video: Focus is on serving viewer segments that are underserved - NP Singh

NP Singh, CEO, MSM Group lays out the agenda for the growth of the network and its flagship channel Sony Entertainment Channel. In conversation with exchange4media, he said, “My single-most important task is to turn around our flagship channel Sony Entertainment Television and we are well on our way. We have made a lot of changes in the management of the channel as well as the functions of the channel and we are seeing the signs of the turnaround on the channel.”

He further said, “The second thing that I am looking at is the growth of the network into new genres and new markets. Focus is on serving viewer segments that are underserved.”

“The third focus area for me is digital. We are making aggressive forays into the digital space as well,” Singh added.

On his expectations from the new Government, Singh said, “We are looking at quicker action on multiple issues. We are looking at the Government pushing the digitisation agenda forward more aggressively and ensure that the first two phases become more successful and the next two phases are implemented quickly.”
