Vh1 lines up new series, specials and a celeb-reality show on Hulk Hogan for July

Vh1 has announced its July line-up with new shows, new series and new specials. Internationally acclaimed shows like ‘Hogan Knows Best’ and ‘Cribs’ as well as two Vh1 specials – ‘Live8: What A Difference a day made’ and ‘Rock Honors’ – will feature on the channel in July.

‘Hogan Knows Best’, the ‘celeb-reality’ show on WWF wrestler Hulk Hogan and his family premieres on July 18, 2006 at 9 pm and follows every Tuesday. The show reveals the inside story on Hogan, who is not only the world's most famous wrestler, but also a very traditional suburban dad with a teenage daughter who wants to be a pop star and a teenage son Nick who wants to be a race car driver.

‘Cribs’ will be telecast every Wednesday at 9 pm, premiering on July 26, 2006. An official communiqué said, “If you love ‘The Fabulous Life’, you’ll adore ‘Cribs’. Taking you behind the doors of the houses of the hottest artists, where the stars personally take you on a tour around their ‘humble’ abode so that you can catch intimate footage of them hanging out with their friends and families, sharing their CD and photo collections, and revealing what’s inside their closets and fridges.”

In regards to the specials, the first ever Vh1 Rock Honors, hosted by Jamie Pressly, celebrates the great music and influence of KISS, Queen, Def Leppard and Judas Priest in Las Vegas with performances by the honourees and tribute performances by Foo Fighters, Godsmack, All American Rejects and the KISS Tribute All Star Band (including Rob Zombie, Tommy Lee and Slash). This two-hour special will be aired on July 21, 2006 at 10 pm.

Vh1 celebrates the first anniversary of the Live8 concert by airing a new special called ‘Live8: What A Difference A Day Made’ on, July 2, 2006 at 10 pm. Vh1 will premiere this 90-minute programme, which is a selection of highlights from the most inspirational performances and presentations that took place across 10 major cities. There will be a repeat telecast of the show on July 15, 2006 at 10 pm, the day the G8 summit begins in Russia.
