UTV Action’s Panja League wraps up

UTV Action’s Panja League 2012 came to a successful close on March 30, 2012. The league that started on March 14 saw 500 participants from 19 agencies contest.

The action-packed competition took place across Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. About 38 people took home the title of Panja King and Panja Queen.

The second season of the Panja League had participants competing with each other in arm wrestling within the same agency. The participating agencies this year included Group M, Madison, Starcom, Carat, R K Swamy, MPG, among others.

Speaking on the response to the second season, Kunal Mukherjee, Marketing Head, UTV Action said, “Panja League 2 was a truly power-packed event and close to 50-60 per cent of agency officials participated in the competition. We expect this number to go up to 75 per cent next year.”

Agencies took home the swanky Jabra Wave that was awarded to one male and one female winner from each agency.

“UTV Action has managed to create a successful annual action property through Panja League and we look forward to another successful season that will be simple, yet better,” added Mukherjee.
