Triveni Media Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary of real estate and infrastructure group Triveni Infrastructure Development Co Ltd, launched its 24-hour Hindi news channel Voice of India on June 1. The channel was test launched in April this year.
Triveni Media would follow up the launch of Voice of India channel with seven other channels: five regional news channels – VOI Bangla, VOI Gujarati, VOI Rajasthan, VOI Uttar Pradesh, and VOI Madhya Pradesh; lifestyle-luxury channel VOI Millionaire; and music channel VOI Music.
The regional news channels would have extensive coverage of regional news and events. VOI Millionaire would cover every aspect of luxury in leisure and business travel, hospitality, food, and fashion.
Rahul Kulshreshtha, CEO, Voice of India, said, “We are looking at both news content and the look and feel of the channel, which we are sure would make the channel stand out among the various news channels that exist today. We have a young and energetic team of anchors.”
The focus of the Voice of India channel would be on news and events that concern the viewers, including politics, sports, cricket, Bollywood and crime. Besides the regular news, Voice of India would focus on 5-6 news / events / issues of the day and do a continuous coverage of the same throughout the day, giving it different perspectives and dimensions with regular updates.
According to the channel, the content would reflect the change and progress of Emerging India.
