Triveni Media Group set to launch two more channels

Triveni Media Group, which currently has five channels in its bouquet – VOI National, VOI MP-Chhattisgarh, VOI UP-Uttarakhand, VOI Rajasthan, and VOI Haryana-Punjab-Himachal – is set to add two more channels to its offerings. The first would be a spiritual channel, christened VOI Sai Darbar, while the second one is an infotainment channel, VOI Bihar-Jharkhand.

Confirming the news, Amit Sinha, Director & CEO, Triveni Media Ltd, said, “We are planning to launch two more channels in our group. We have already acquired licences for both the channels.”

Regarding the launch dates for the new channels, Sinha said, “We have already started work on creating the infrastructure for these channels. VOI Sai Darbar will be the first to go on air, for which we have already hired the key staffers, including a channel head and a few production assistants. Very soon we will announce the date of its formal launch.”

He further claimed, “VOI Sai Darbar, which will be a totally distinct spiritual channel, will create a milestone in this genre as it will be the first such channel to totally focus on Sai Baba devotees. The 24-hour channel’s USP is that it will have live telecast on a day-to-day basis directly from Sirdi, along with many other offerings.”

Meanwhile, VOI Bihar-Jharkhand will follow the same structure as the Group’s other region-specific channels. According to Sinha, this channel would turn out to be a replica of these twin states.

Sinha also informed that VOI had already received the formal go ahead for VOI Millionaire, a channel that the Group had planned to launch earlier, but it would be using the same approval order for launching VOI Sai Darbar channel.
