Times Now has lined up a diverse group of programmes to strengthen its weekend offerings. Starting this weekend, the channels will have a special screening of ‘The Making of Black Friday’, ‘CEAT India Cricket Ratings and Awards’ and Valentines’ Day special ‘Love Struck’.
‘Black Friday’ is a realistic drama on the 1993 Mumbai blasts, which was released in theatres on Friday, February 9, after a delay of two years. The film’s director, Anurag Kashyap, has based this film on crime reporter Hussain Zaidi’s book on how truth can sometimes be stranger and murkier than any piece of fiction.
“Our channel will exclusively air ‘The Making of Black Friday’ on television. The incident had spurred debates, got documented in a book and a film maker decided to turn it into a hard hitting fact-filled film that revealed the underbelly of terrorism, which makes it important,” said an official from the channel.
In another programme, CEAT celebrates the best in Indian domestic cricket with Cyrus Broacha and Shonali Nagrani hosting the show. Awards such as Cricketer of the Year, Batsman of the Year, Bowler of the Year and the Most Promising Youngster will be presented at the show.
‘Love Struck’ with Tara Sharma is through her own exclusive date on a cruise with her beau aboard the Super Star Libra. The show will also feature actor and TV host Purab Kohli in a special story where he goes in search of the perfect perfume for his girlfriend.
