According to the BARC data for week 38 (17-23 September, 2016), ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Comedy Central increased the viewership by 15 times. The telecast of the 68th Emmy Awards on FX and Star World fuelled the hike in ratings of the channels. The telecast of Paytm Test Series 2016 Live - India vs New Zealand - 1st Test on STAR Sports 1 and STAR Sports 3 fetched impressive ratings for the network. Also, the World Television Premier of ‘MSG: The Messenger of God’ and ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ improved the viewership ratings of Zee Cinema.

 ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on Comedy Central on Tuesday (22:59-23:27)  increased the viewership by 15 times. The channel had an average ratings of 0.6 impressions ‘000s in the past four weeks that rose to 8.9 impressions ‘000s in week 38.

The telecast of the 68th Emmy Awards on FX on Monday (04:29-08-29) (Live) increased the viewership by 6.8 times while its repeat telecast on the same day from (19:59-23:08) fetched 4.8 times higher ratings. The  average ratings of the (04:29-08-29) slot of the channel were 0.04 impressions ‘000s in the past four weeks that rose to 0.27 impressions ‘000s in week 38. The (19:59-23:08) slot had an average of 1.0 impressions ‘000s in past four weeks that rose to 4.8 impressions ‘000s in week 38.

Also, the live telecast of 68th Emmy Awards on Star World on Monday (04:29-08:29) fetched 4.8 times higher impressions ‘000s while the repeat telecast (19:59-23:08) fetched 70 per cent higher impressions ‘000s. The live telecast slot garnered 2.2 impressions ‘000s versus the previous four weeks average of 0.5 impressions ‘000s. And, the repeat telecast slot got 4.6 impressions ‘000s as compared to the previous four weeks average ratings of 2.7 impressions ‘000s.

The telecast of Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2016 on Sony ESPN (SD+HD) on Saturday-Friday (13:30-21:30)  improved viewership by 4 times. The previous four weeks average ratings of the channel was 196 impressions ‘000s that rose to 805 impressions ‘000s in week 38.

The telecast of Paytm Test Series 2016 Live - India vs New Zealand - 1st Test on STAR Sports 1 and STAR Sports 3 on Thursday (09:20-16:42) and Friday (09:20-14:13) fetched impressive ratings for the channel. On Day 1 the ratings of Star Sports 1 were 975 impressions ‘000s whereas, the ratings of Star Sports 3 was 1269 impressions ‘000s. And, on day 2, Star Sports 1 fetched 801 impressions ‘000s whereas, Star Sports 3 got 1317 impressions ‘000s.

STAR Networks aired TN Premier League 2016 Live - SF 2 and Final on Saturday and Sunday from (18:30-22:30). On Saturday, Star Sports 1 (SD+HD) got 472 impressions ‘000s, Star Sports 2 (SD+HD) got 241 impressions ‘000s and Star Vijay got 626 impressions ‘000s. And, On Sunday, in the final match, Star Sports 1 (SD+HD) got 582 impressions ‘000s, Star Sports 2 (SD+HD) got 416 impressions ‘000s and Star Vijay garnered 850 impressions ‘000s.

World Television Premier of ‘MSG: The Messenger of God’ on Saturday (17:00-20:59)  and ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ on Sunday (20:29-23:45)  improved the viewership ratings of Zee Cinema by 51 per cent and 47 per cent respectively. While the former fetched 1,894 impressions ‘000s with respect to average 1,254 impressions ‘000s of the previous four weeks, the latter got 5,189 impressions ‘000s in week 38 with respect to previous four weeks’ average ratings of 3,534 impressions ‘000s.
