Ten Sports partners with OneAlliance for distribution

In a bid to further strengthen its distribution, Ten Sports has struck a multi-year deal with The One Alliance. The arrangement comes into effect immediately following the contract signed by SET Discovery and Taj Television Ltd.

Announcing the tie up Chris McDonald, CEO, Taj Television, said, "As a group, we are delighted with this development. Given the strength of the One Alliance distribution team on the ground, I am certain this is a step in the right direction."

Kunal Dasgupta, CEO, SET India, said, "At the One Alliance we take great pride in associating with the finest brands. Ten Sports has proven to be a phenomenal success story. With Ten Sports joining the One Alliance, we are sure of providing more value to our customers. The combination of the over all content of Ten Sports, and especially its cricket properties with MAX ICC Cricket right, will provide great opportunity to savour the best events in the world."

Adding to that Shantonu Aditya, President, SET Discovery, explained that details such as the pricing of the channel hasn't been confirmed yet and that these would be finalised in weeks to come. He said, "Ten is presently the best sports channel in the country, in terms of content and programming."

After terminating its deal with Modi for distribution, Ten Sports was on its own until now. With an established platform, the channel should look at better times ahead. "The One Alliance is without doubt the best distribution platform in India and we believe that the reach of Ten Sports will increase tremendously. In turn, we will open up a whole new set of committed and regular viewers for them," said Sharmista Rijhwani, Managing Director, Taj Television India Private Limited.
