Zee Turner Ltd, a joint venture of Zee Group-Turner International, and Taj Television of Dubai have announced the inclusion of Ten Sports in Zee Turner’s bouquet of channels. The addition would make Zee Turner offer a wide variety of sports, including 53 days of international cricket in 2008, WE, football and other sports.
With the addition of Ten Sports, Zee Turner with 33 channels projects its subscriber base would increase to over 5 million, while the total business would grow by over 25 per cent.

The addition of Ten Sports in our bouquet will give our customers a wide variety of sports to choose from, in addition to channels in other genres,” said Dinesh Jain, Executive VP, Zee Turner.

Both Jain and Chris McDonald, CEO, Taj TV, refused to comment on the size of the deal and revenue sharing. McDonald did say that the size was ‘very big’. “It’s a multi-million deal, a big deal for a big league,” he added.
On being asked about conflict of content of Zee Sports and Ten Sports, Jain said that both the channels complemented each other and there was no conflict of content.
