Ten Films, FICTS join hands to launch India Step for Sports Movies & TV Awards

Ten Films, India’s leading short film making company, and Milan-headquartered Federation Internationale Du Cinema ET De La Television Sportifs (FICTS) have announced the launch of the India Step of Sports Movies & TV awards. Organised by FICTS, these awards are the most important worldwide festival dedicated to sports television and movies.

Commenting on the India Step, Ten Films’ Director Ritesh Sinha said, “We at Ten Films have always endeavoured to promote Indian cinema at various international platforms and the Sport Movies & TV Awards is yet another step in this direction.”

Acknowledging India’s talent in filmmaking, FICTS’ Prof Franco Bruno Ascani said, “It gives me great pleasure to announce the India Step of the global Sport Movies & TV Awards. India is a country with enormous talent in filmmaking and is also the world’s biggest film industry. The introduction of these Awards is adding sports to the cinema culture."

‘Sport Movies & TV’ is held under the patronage of the Italian President, in collaboration with Regione Lombardia, and the Pleadings of the Musée Olimpique Lausanne, the European Commission, the Province of Milan and Milan City Council.

FICTS, which was constituted in June 1982, was officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee in January 1983.
