Pudhu Yugam, the recently launched Tamil GEC from New Generation Media Corporation, has appointed AL Venkataachalam as the new Channel Head. In his new role, Venkataachalam will be spearheading programming activities and will be responsible for getting the content in place.

Commenting on Venkataachalam’s appointment, RBU Shyam Kumar, CEO, New Generation Media Corporation said, “I am pleased to have Venky join us as Channel Head. I am sure that with his rich experience and insightful business acumen, he will take the channel to newer heights.”

On his new role, Venkataachalam said, “I am excited to be a part of the Pudhu Yugam team. My first challenge is to make the channel’s content stand apart from the competition. We are already No. 1 in the news space, I am sure we will make a similar mark in the GEC genre too.”
