TAM Ratings Row: Now, TV18 & Viacom18 pull out of TAM ratings

Senior officials from Network18 Group have confirmed to exchange4media about unsubscribing to TAM ratings from Monday, June 17, 2013. The unsubscription would be confined to TV18 and Viacom18.

As is known, more and more channels are discontinuing their association with TAM despite the fact that media agencies, planners and advertisers are backing TAM and insisting that the issue be resolved amicably.

Broadcasters feel that the rating by TAM is erratic and does not justify their viewership. They also allege lack of transparency and have expressed dissatisfaction over TAM’s methodology of measurement mechanism.

TAM CEO LV Krishnan did not respond to the queries made by exchange4media in this context.
