Sun TV Q3 FY14 ad revenues up 17%; subscription revenues up 27%

Sun TV Network has reported 5 per cent growth in revenues for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013 at Rs 508.34 crore, as compared to Rs 485.86 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Advertisement revenues were up 17 per cent Q-o-Q. Subscription revenues from cable and DTH operations continued to maintain the digitisation momentum with a sustained growth of over 27 per cent on a Y-o-Y basis at Rs 167.12 crore in Q3 FY14, as against Rs 131.27 crore. International subscription revenues grew by 29 per cent over the same period last year.

Total income for the quarter ended December 31, 2013 also registered an increase of 5.39 per cent at Rs 523.19 crore in comparison to Rs 496.41 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Net profit was at Rs 185.79 crore in Q3 FY14, as compared to Rs 189.88 crore in Q3 FY13, a decline of 2.15 per cent.
