Sun TV Network elevates R Mahesh Kumar to President

Sun TV Network has announced the appointed R Mahesh Kumar as President, as part of their ongoing effort to strengthen their management team.  He will join the organisation on November 01, 2015 in a statement issued to BSE stock exchange. Kumar previously held the position of CEO of Sun Group’s DTH arm Sun Direct.

In April 2011, Kumar joined Sun Group as the CEO, Sun Direct and replaced Tony D’Silva. He has been associated with Sun Group for close to five years in senior management roles. He was with Rajan Raheja Group where he was the President and CEO of Asianet Satellite Communications before joining the Sun Group.

Kumar is a Chartered Accountant with over 23 years of experience, out of which more than 15 years has been with the media industry. He started his career with Citi Bank and has also worked with KPMG and American Express in his earlier years.
