Sun TV Network ad revenues jump 16% to Rs 323.89 crore in Q1

Sun TV Network has announced Q1 results today. For the quarter ended June 30, 2015, the revenue, including IPL Revenue, was up by 9 per cent at Rs 691.09 crore. The same was up 14 per cent, excluding IPL revenue at Rs. 594. 54 crore, against Rs 520.17 crore for the corresponding quarter ended June 30, 2014.

Advertising revenues were up 16 per cent to Rs 323.89 crore. Subscription revenues continued to grow with cable TV revenues growing 13 per cent and DTH subscription revenue growing by 9 per cent over the same quarter last year.

During the quarter,the EBITDA including the IPL revenue, was up by 11 per cent  at Rs 409.16 crore and the same excluding the IPL Revenue was up 13 per cent at Rs 465.77 crore, as compared to Rs 367.57 crore  and Rs 411.02 crore, respectively in the previous quarter ended 30th June ,2014.

The Profit Before Interest, Depreciation & Taxes (PBIDT) including the IPL Revenues and expenses for the quarter was up by 11 per cent  at Rs 431.31 crore against Rs 387.27 crore for previous quarter ended 30th June, 2014.

Profit after taxes for the quarter was higher at Rs 197. 28 crore, against 165. 64 for the previous quarter ended June 30, 2014.
