STAR Restructuring: Fox to handle STAR Movies & World only in South East Asia

STAR Group is continuing with its silence on the restructuring exercise that the company had recently undertaken. Nonetheless, another detail that has surfaced is that Fox International Channels, that is led in Asia by Ward Platt as its President and Zubin Gandevia as the EVP & Managing Director, would be handling Star Movies and Star World in South East Asia. Contrary to media speculations, this development would not impact the India operations.

Sources at STAR clarified that the restructuring process would be formally underway in the next few weeks.

Fox International Channels at present has brands such as National Geographic Channel, Fox History and Fox Prime amongst other channels. Prior to his Asia role, Gandevia was heading the NGC India operations.

Fox International would be managing STAR Movies and STAR World in markets such as Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia amongst others.
