STAR rejigs KBC 2 schedule, game show to now air two days a week

The entire nation is worried about the health of India’s iconic figure Amitabh Bachchan. His fans are trying in their own ingenious ways to appease the Gods above for his speedy recovery after the mega star underwent an operation earlier this week. And among those praying fervently for Big B to be up and about soon are the numerous advertisers and STAR Plus.

In the wake of Bachchan’s recent health crisis, the channel has rejigged the telecast schedule of the ever popular ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 2’, which Bachchan anchors. The game show will now air two days a week instead of the usual three days. So, instead of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, KBC 2 now will be on air only on Friday and Saturday at 9 pm. Sunday will see the serial ‘Sai Baba’, which airs on 8 pm, shifting to the 9 pm slot. This will be preceded by a weekend movie in the 6-9 pm slot.

This new schedule, as conveyed to exchange4media by STAR Plus officials, would just be a stop gap arrangement, till Bachchan was able to resume his normal shooting schedule.

It is also understood that now only the special episodes that were scheduled to be shot for the New Year’s time might have to see some changes. Thus, with the rescheduled programming the recorded episodes of KBC 2 will continue till January 7.
