Star Plus, Zee Anmol firm at top spot in urban, rural markets respectively in week 38

According to BARC Ratings for week 38 (17-23 September, 2016), in the urban markets, Star Plus, Colors and Zee TV held on to the top three spots. Life OK stepped up to no.5 pushing Sony SAB to acquire the sixth spot. In the rural markets, Zee Anmol continued to lead followed by Star Utsav at no.2 and Sony Pal at no.3. Zee TV stepped up to no.5 while Star Plus slipped a spot to acquire the sixth rank

Hindi GEC Urban:

Star Plus maintained its lead in the urban markets in week 38 but saw a dip in the ratings from 481 million to 460 million.

Colors remained at no.2 with 398 million ratings, less than previous week’s 413 million.

Zee TV stayed at no.3 with 315 million ratings, less than week 37’s 318 million.

Sony Entertainment Television, at no.4. fetched 298 million ratings which were 301 million in week 37.

Life OK stepped up to no.5 in week 38 with 279 million ratings. The channel was at no.6 in the previous week with 273 million ratings.

Sony SAB slipped to the sixth spot with 256 million ratings which were 278 million in the previous week.

At no.7 stood &TV with 142 million ratings which were 138 million in the previous week.

Zee Anmol remained at no.8 with 112 million ratings, less than previous week’s 116 million.

Sony Pal and Star Utsav exchanged positions in week 38. The former climbed a step up to no.9 with 110 million ratings which were 105 million in week 38.  The latter slipped a spot and stood at no.10 with 109 million ratings which were 107 million in the previous week.

 

 

Hindi GEC Rural:

Zee Anmol continued its winning streak in the rural markets in week 38 also. But, the channel saw a dip in the ratings from 377 million in week 37 to 351 million in week 38.

Star Utsav stayed at no.2 with 337 million ratings, less than previous week’s 347 million ratings.

Sony Pal, at no.3, fetched 295 million ratings, less than previous week’s 301 million.

Rishtey remained at no.4 with 259 million ratings which were 257 million in week 37.

Zee TV stepped up to acquire the fifth spot in week 38 with 223 million ratings which were 228 million in the previous week.

Star Plus slipped a spot to acquire the sixth rank in the rural markets in week 38. The channel had 230 million ratings in week 37 that reduced to 222 million in week 38.

Colors held on to its no.7 spot in week 38 but saw a fall in ratings from 199 million in week 37 ratings to 183 million.

Life OK stayed at no.8 with 145 million ratings, less than previous week’s 156 million.

Sony Entertainment Television and Sony SAB stayed at no.9 and no.10 with 119 million and 94 million ratings respectively which were 132 million and 102 million in the previous week.
