Star Plus takes lead in urban market; Rishtey continues to reign rural market: BARC Week 7 Ratings

According to BARC data for week 7 (February 11-17), Star Plus came back to reign the urban market with 459 million impressions, while Rishtey maintained its first spot in the rural market with 317 million impressions.

Collectively too, Star Plus took the first spot bringing in 657 million impressions followed by Colors (571 million impressions) at the second spot and Rishtey (428 million impressions) at the third spot.

Urban Market

Star Plus reinstated its first spot in the urban market with 459 million impressions compared to 427 million impressions it had in week 6.

Colors suffered a major fall in its ratings and slipped to second spot with 386 million impressions as against the 427 million impressions it fetched the previous week.

Sony Entertainment Television held on to its third spot with 281 million impressions as against 282 million impressions in week 6.

Life Ok moved up to fourth spot garnering 247 million impressions, compared to its 240 million impressions in week 6.

Sony SAB slipped to fifth spot with 245 million impressions as against week 6’s 244 million impressions.

 

Rural Market

Rishtey continued to rule the rural market with 317 million impressions, as against week 6’s 328 million impressions.

Zee Anmol climbed up to the second spot with 313 million impressions as against the 286 million impressions it fetched in week 6.

Star Utsav slipped to third spot with 294 million impressions as against its 298 million impressions it fetched in week 6.

Even Sony Pal held on to its fourth position garnering an improved 278 million impressions compared to sixth week’s 260 million impressions.

Star Plus moved up to fifth spot with 198 million impressions.
