Star Plus, Star Utsav retain top spot in urban, rural markets respectively

According to BARC Ratings for week 31 (30 July-5 August, 2016), In the urban makets, Star Plus remained at no.1 followed by Colors at no.2 and Zee TV at no.3. Star Utsav climed a step up to the eighth spot pushing Zee Anmol to no.9. As far as the rural ratings are concerned, Star Utsav led the market followed by Zee Anmol at no.2 and Sony Pal at no.3. Star Plus climbed a step up in week 31 replacing Rishtey.

Hindi GEC Urban:

Star Plus continued to lead the urban markets in week 31. But the channel fetched 453 million ratings, less than previous week’s 468 million.

Colors stayed at no.2 with 375 million, higher than previous week’s 372 million.

Zee TV, at no.3, garnered 334 million ratings. The channel had 337 million ratings in week 30.

Life OK held on to the fourth spot in the urban markets with 274 million ratings but the channel saw a dip in the ratings as acomapred to previous week’s 280 million.

Sony Enetrtainment Television satyed at no.5 with 254 million ratings, less than week 30’s 276 million.

Sony SAB stood at no.6 with 251 million, less than previous week’s 264 million.

&TV, with improved ratings of 152 million, stood at no.7. The channel had 139 million ratings in week 30.

Star Utsav climed a step up to the eighth spot in week 30 with 121 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 109.45 million.

Zee Anmol slipped to the ninth spot in week 31 although, the channel fetched 119 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 109.49 million.

At no.10 stood Sony Pal with 92 million ratings, less than previous week’s 94 million.

 

 

Hindi GEC Rural:

Star Utsav remained to be the most watched channel in the rural markets in week 31 with improved ratings of 406 million than week 30’s 376 million.

Zee Anmol styed at no.2 with 386 million ratings, higher than previous week’s 362 million.

Sony Pal stood at no.3 with 292 million ratings, less than previous week’s 309 million.

Zee TV remained at no.4 with 266 million ratings. The channel had 274 million ratings in the previous week.

Star Plus climbed a step up in week 31 replacing Rishtey to acquire the fifth spot with 205 million ratings. However, the had better ratings in week 30 of 217 million.

Rishtey slipped to the sixth spot with 202 million, less than previous week’s 218 million.

The seveth spot was acquired by Colors, like the previous week, with improved ratings of 172 million. The channel had 159 million ratings in week 30.

Life OK stood at no.8 with 148 million ratings,higher than previosu week’s 147 million.

Big Magic stayed at no.9 with 107 million ratings, less than previous week’s 115 million.

And, Sony Entertainment Television stood at no.10 with 103 million ratings,less than week’s 107 million.
