Star Plus retains No. 1 position; Zee overtakes Colors

As per data sourced from TAM subscribers for CS 4+, HSM markets, week 9, Star Plus continues to lead the Hindi GEC space with 265 GRPs, after adding 17 points since week 8 (248 GRPs). Zee TV climbed up to the second position with 226 GRPs after dropping five points since week 8 (231 GRPs), overtaking Colors, which has dropped 15 points since week 8.

At number three is Colors with 220 GRPs, followed by Sony Entertainment Television with 170 GRPs, which lost 18 points since last week (188 GRPs).

SAB TV with 138 GRPs climbed ahead of Life OK which clocked 132 GRPs, as opposed to 144 GRPs in week 8.

Star Utsav garnered 56 GRPs in Week 9 (last week 51).

The top ten fiction shows in the Hindi GEC space in week 9 were Diya Aur Bati Hum (5.9 TVR), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (4.4 TVR), Balika Vadhu (4.2 TVR), Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (3.9), Sapane Suhane Ladakpan Ke (3.8), Madhubala (3.7), Pyar Ka Dard Meetha Meetha (3.5), Saath Nibhana Saathiya (3.3 TVR) Sasural Simar Ka (3.2), and Qubool Hai (3.1 TVR). As can be observed from the ratings, Star Plus continues to lead the Hindi GEC space with four of its fiction shows in the top ten list.

In the non-fiction genre, Zee TV’s India’s Best Dramebaaz managed to clock an average TVR of 4.4 (Sun - 4.7, Sat - 4.1,) thereby, leading the non-fiction space, with Star Plus’ Nach Baliye following with an average rating of 2.9 (Sun - 2.2, Sat - 3.6).
