Star Plus and Sony Pal lead urban and rural markets respectively @BARC Week 9 Ratings

According to BARC data for week 9 (February 25-March 3), Star Plus continued to maintain its hold over the urban market with 519 million impressions while Sony Pal went from third spot last week to the first spot in the rural market in week 9 with 406 million impressions.

Collectively too, Star Plus took the first spot bringing in 783 million impressions followed by Colors at the second spot (634 million impressions) and Sony Pal at the third spot (563 million impressions).

Urban market

Star Plus continued to top the urban market with improved 519 million impressions compared to 476 million impressions it had in week 8.

Colors held on to its second spot with 424 million impressions as against the 429 million impressions it fetched the previous week.

Zee TV moved up to the third spot garnering 308 million impressions, compared to week 8’s 281 million impressions.

Sony Entertainment Television dropped to the fourth spot with 295 million impressions as against previous week’s 324 million impressions where it was at number 3.

Sony SAB held on to its fifth spot with 289 million impressions as against week 8’s 269 million impressions.

Rural market

Sony Pal moved up to the first spot with 406 million impressions, as against week 8’s 373 million impressions where it was ranked third.

Zee Anmol maintained its second spot with 384 million impressions as against the 400 million impressions it fetched in week 8.

Rishtey dropped to the third spot garnering 384 million impressions compared to previous week’s 409 million impressions where it led the rural market in the first spot.

Star Utsav remained at the fourth spot with 352 million impressions as against the previous week’s 342 million impressions.

Star Plus too held on to its fifth spot with 264 million impressions.
