STAR News launches reality show ‘Ye Bharat Desh Hai Mera’

STAR News has launched a new programme ‘Ye Bharat Desh Hai Mera’. The show revolves around issues and viewers in an engaging exchange of thoughts, words and views. The show premiered on March 13, 2006 on weekdays in the 6.30 pm slot.

‘Ye Bharat Desh Hai Mera’ would attempt to reflect upon social issues and real life incidents on emotionally gripping and general human-interest stories as they play out and involve the viewing audience in the broad direction the issue might evolve towards.

An official communiqué stated that the programme would involve itself in real-time resolution of issues, involving debates from conflicting points of views amongst the chief protagonists involved.

The communiqué further said: “Resolutions in these often-emotional play-outs may or may not always be possible; however there will eventually be a conclusion. The conclusion itself will provide a real-time broad commentary on the ‘state of the nation’.”
