STAR India Ad sales sees restructuring

STAR India has made some key changes in its Ad Sales function. The development is important this year, as the manner of selling itself has been changed. From selling channels, as was the case so far, STAR India has moved top fifty clients to Network sales and the rest continue to be in channel selling.

Channel officials divulged very little at the time of filing the story but promise a clearer picture on Monday. From what industry sources have to say, however, in the new structure, Kevin Vaz, EVP, Ad Sales and Kaushal Dalal, EVP, Ad Sales, Strategy are on the top reporting into the Network’s COO Sameer Nair.

Following is Juhi Ravindranath, who was so far heading Plus. In her new role, Ravindranath will take care of the top fifty clients representing the Network. Guneeth Anand will work with her for the West and South region and Anuradha Mattoo will represent North.

For the rest of the clients of the Network, Shailesh Bijlani, who was so far heading STAR Movies and World will head the Hindi channels and Shanti Rao will head the English channels. Under them, Manoj Menon will sell Plus, Rahul Shaw will sell One, Rupali will sell Utsav, Celita will work on Movies and World and Ashish Sehgal will sell Gold.

Dev Shenoy will sell Vijay TV under K Sriram, who continues to be the national head for Vijay TV, for all clients.
