STAR India’s Uday Shankar is the new IBF Prez; TV Today’s G Krishnan & Times TV’s Sunil Lulla other office bearers

The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) appointed Uday Shankar, CEO, STAR India, as its President at the 58th Board of Directors meeting held on September 3, 2010 in Hyderabad. Shankar succeeds Jawahar Goel, who had held the Chair for four consecutive years.

TV Today’s CEO G Krishnan is the Vice President and Times Television Network’s CEO Sunil Lulla is the Treasurer. The Board of Directors for the year was appointed during the 11th Annual General Meeting of the IBF.

In the 11th Annual General Meeting of IBF, held earlier in the day, members of IBF elected the following members to the Board:-

1. Mr. Jawahar Goel, Zee Telefilms
2. Mr. Jayant M. Mathew, Director, MM TV
3. Mr. K. V. L. Narayan Rao, Group CEO & Executive Director NDTV
4. Mr. Man Jit Singh, CEO, Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd.
5. Mr. Punit Goenka, Director, Zee News
6. Mr. Sunil Lulla, CEO, Times Global Broadcasting Co. Ltd.
7. Mr. Uday Shankar, Director, Star News

Subsequently in the Board of Directors meeting, the Board Co-opted the following members to the Board:-

Mr. Markand Adhikari, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Adhikari Bros.
Mr. Siddharth Jain, Vice President (South Asia), Turner International India Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Sameer Nair, CEO, Turner General Entertainment Networks
The Board further appointed Mr. Ajay Vidyasagar, COO, Sun TV Network in the Casual Vacancy.
