Stage set for lively debates @NewsNext 2012 today

NewsNext 2012, the annual conference organised by exchange4media, is being held on August 31 at Radisson Blu Hotel in Noida. The event is presented by Dish+. Television Street Maps is the co-sponsor.

A cross-section of industry leaders will be sharing their views at the event on topics as diverse as ‘News digitisation – Do or die’, ‘News credibility – Affecting the business?’, ‘News broadcasters – Ready to exploit converged digital platforms?’, ‘Regional Panel – Big fish eating the small fish or vice versa?’, and so on.

Alan Quartly, South Asia Bureau Editor, BBC News will deliver the keynote address. Jawahar Sircar, CEO, Prasar Bharati will deliver the valedictory address.

Supriya Sahu, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), will bring to the table the government’s point of view on the news broadcast industry and the way ahead.
