SS Music launches VJ Factor in Cochin

Southern Spice Music has launched its last leg of The VJ Factor in Cochin. In tune with the response for the VJ Hunts, held at Bangalore and Chennai, the Hyderabad round was a success for the group. The next selection round is scheduled at Cochin. SS Music claims that the channel has very good viewership among the youth in Kerala and it expects a large number of youngsters to participate in the VJ Factor auditions in Cochin like other cities.

The title sponsor for the event is Sand piper Azaad Panchee After Dark Parties, while Airtel has come up as the associate sponsor; the online partner is Sify and the hospitality sponsor is Mermaid Hotels and The New Indian Express is the media partner. Abad Plaza is hosting the event, while Wizcraft has taken up the responsibilities of complete management.

Nischal Kumtakar, Head, Sales and Marketing, SS Music, says, “The elimination rounds commence on the 25th and 26th March with the final is slated for the 27th March 2004. There will be extensive road shows and promotional materials and registration forms will be made available at all locations like colleges, coffee shops, pubs, multiplexes, music stores, bookstores and different other youth hangouts in the city.”

Kumtakar is optimistic about success in this last leg. “We expect our new VJs to be in place by 14th April 2004, right in time for us to start our new programmes for the Tamil New Year, which will also coincide with the third anniversary of our channel,” he says. Some of SS Music’s recent clients are Hero Honda, Nokia, Pepsi, Sand Piper, Tic Tac, ITC Foods, Miranda, Pizza Hut, Motorola and others.
