Special feature Deva Shree Ganesha on Zee TV brings ratings hike

Zee TV in week 38 (September 19 – 25, 2015) at No.3 witnessed a large rise in ratings. The channel’s ratings grew to 272 million this week from 256 million in week 37.

One of the major reasons for this was the large rise was the special programming on Sunday between 4:30 pm to 8pm on the channel. Deva Shree Ganesha was an event where the stars of Zee TV performed on stage. BARC data (HSM 1lakh+ 4+) revealed that ratings spike was as much as 2,479 (‘000’s) in comparison to previous 4 week average of 1,110 (‘000’s) ratings. This is more than a double the ratings growth in the span one week in comparison to the four weeks average.

Maharashtra/Goa was among the key markets which saw a growth in ratings to almost 700 in week 38 from the previous 4 week average ratings of 300. It was followed by UP/Uttarakhand with ratings in week 38 growing to a little higher than the ratings of 300, from a four week average of 150. The markets of Gujarat and Delhi were not far behind.
