Sony slides to sixth position in Week 37

As per TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 37 (September 8-14) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus retains its number one position with gross TVT of 477 million. The channel continued to see a fall in its viewership this week as well. Star Plus had recorded gross TVT of 495 million in Week 36.

Colors saw a slight gain in viewership in Week 37 at 464 million TVTs, up from 453 million TVTs in the previous week. The channel aired the grand finale of ‘Jhalak Dikhlaajaa 6’, which garnered viewership of 8.8 million TVTs. It’s late night show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’ recorded 7.2 million TVTs. As is known, the channel premiered the seventh season of its reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ on September 15, 2013. However, the gains from this show will reflect only in the ratings of next week.

Zee TV maintained its third position, recording gross TVT of 399 million. This is a marginal dip from the 411 million TVTs garnered in Week 36.

Life OK replaced Sony in the fourth position in Week 37 with gross TVT of 322 million as against 276 million TVTs in Week 36. The channel was placed in sixth position in the previous week.
Sab TV retains its fifth position, garnering gross TVT of 312 million in Week 37, a dip from 322 million TVTs recorded in the previous week.

Sony slid to the sixth position with gross TVT of 293 million as against 346 million TVTs in Week 36. Despite registering viewership of 5.9 million TVTs, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 7’ failed to carry forward the gains seen in its inaugural week.
