Television production house Endemol India has announced that it has elevated Sameer Gogate as Business Head of its Films division. Previously he was the VP – Commercial and Strategy at the company.

Based out of Mumbai, Gogate will play a pivotal role as Endemol India gears up to make a strong foray into mainstream cinema in both, Bollywood and the Southern film industry, shared an official release.

Deepak Dhar, CEO, Endemol India stated, “We are delighted to have Sameer in this new role. At the onset of expanding our portfolio, experienced professionals like him will only prove to be an asset in spearheading our ambitious plans of establishing the films division.”

Endemol India recently announced the remake of Vidya Balan starrer ‘Kahaani’ in Tamil and Telugu by director Sekhar Kammula. Going forward, it will be producing three to four films every year with an equal mix of scripts for regional as well as mainstream Bollywood audiences.
