Travel service network Sahara Global has unveiled ‘Duniya Ki Sair’, a travel show to be televised on the Samay Channel. The show, which premieres on August 16 at 7.30 pm on Samay, will capture the art, culture, history and other travel related information of destinations in India and world over through an extensive visual description.
Sahara Global is associating with various state tourism boards in India and international tourism boards to promote places of tourist interest in each of the Indian states at an all India level. The programme would showcase a different state of India every week through special episodes. The first two episodes have been allocated to Goa and Madhya Pradesh.
Romi Datta, CEO, Sahara Global, said, “Sahara Global is launching ‘Duniya Ki Sair’ as an initiative to promote varied destinations in all corners of our country at a pan-India level. The average Indian traveler is now looking for newer destinations within and outside of India. With ‘Duniya Ki Sair’, we are looking to provide readymade information and holiday booking avenues to the traveler.”
Sumit Roy, Head, Sahara India Media, said, “The India story is now fully integrated with the global economy. The successful Indian is now looking at the whole world as his stage. ‘Duniya Ki Sair’ encompasses a wide spectrum of destinations – domestic and foreign. It offers our viewers especially tailored tour packages and relevant information with the objective to make the holiday or tour a lifetime experience.”
The show will have two repeat telecasts during the week. The show will also be on air on the Sahara regional channels (UP/Uttarakhand, MP/Chhattisgarh, Bihar/Jharkhand, Delhi/NCR and Mumbai), which would lead to an extensive viewership across the country and also region-wise. Each travel destination will be telecast 18 times a week over the six channels. Samay is viewed in 65 countries.
‘Duniya Ki Sair’ will also invite interaction with viewers. The programme includes a contest in which viewers can participate by replying to a one question through SMS.
